ski clinic for ages 50+ of lower intermediate to
advanced ability every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Includes continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. with clinic

Olympic Valley. SKI WITH GOLD MEDALIST JONNY MOSELEY.
Squaw Valley USA hosts skiing with Olympic Gold Medalist
and Chief Mountain Host Jonny Moseley at 1 p.m. Meet at
the top of the Funitel for a tour of the mountain. Tour
gets progressively more difficult from intermediate to

Lake Tahoe. COMMERORATIVE RELAY/TORCH RUN. A
commemorative Relay Torch Run will be held from the West
Shore to Olympic Valley starting at 9 a.m. at Sugar Pine
Point State Park kicking of the Olympic Heritage
Celebration of the 1960 Winter Olympics through Jan. 17.
The relay will continue up the West Shore to Homewood
Mountain Resort at 10:45 a.m., Sunnyside Resort at 11:40
a.m., Granlibakken Resort at noon, Heritage Plaza in
Tahoe City at 12:35 p.m., along Highway 89 to the
entrance of Alpine Meadows Ski Resort at 1:15 p.m., then
up Squaw valley Road to the Resort at Squaw Creek at
2:25 p.m., onto the Resort at Squaw Creek lift at 2:45
p.m. and to the top of Red Dog Run at 3:05 p.m. The
torch will be skied down to Squaw Valley USA and arrive
in the Village at Squaw at 3:30 p.m. for the Opening
Celebration. Spectators are encouraged to line the road
to follow the torch. The Opening Celebration is at 4
p.m. in the Village, followed by fireworks at the KT-22
Sun Deck and a 1960 Olympians’ Reception at the Squaw
Valley Lodge in the evening. Ongoing events include
interpretive programs on mountain at Squaw Valley USA
and Sugar Pine Point State Park, temporary museum
exhibits at Squaw and Sugar Pine, 1960 Women’s and Men’s
Slalom and GS courses flagged and marked at Squaw, Squaw

Mt. Rose. ELVIS DAY. Tribute to the birth of “The
King” is second to none as the slopes of Mt. Rose become
a sea of Elvis. Chances are Elvis will issue your lift
ticket, fit your skis and even teach your lesson. Elvis
