As with anything, planning is essential. If you are planning a Lake Tahoe wedding, you will need a wedding license. The following will assist you in getting in touch with the right authority to issue your your marriage license .
To be legally married in the State of Nevada, you must purchase a marriage license and have a marriage ceremony performed. The fee for the license is $55.00. Payment may be made by Cash, Credit/Debit cards (Reno office only), Money Orders or Travelers Checks only. The marriage license may be obtained up to one year prior to the ceremony. The marriage license must be purchased in person in the Marriage License Bureau in either Reno or Incline Village. No blood test required - No waiting period - Must be 18 years of age or older, Must present valid Official Photo Identification (drivers license, state ID, military ID, passport or other official identification). No divorce papers necessary. License may be purchased in any county in Nevada and marriage may occur in any county in Nevada.
