(Kirkwood Mountain Resort, Kirkwood, Calif.) – With another storm system dropping substantial snowfall this last week, Kirkwood Mountain Resort surpassed 350 inches of annual snowfall for the season making Kirkwood a frontrunner for largest base depth in North America. Currently sitting on the most snow in the Lake Tahoe region, the forecast is calling for sunny skies and warmer temperatures throughout the weekend which should equate to
classic Sierra skiing and riding conditions. Kirkwood is offering a special 35th Anniversary reduced season pass rate of $300 for the remaining three months of the season. For more information and updated conditions, log onto www.kirkwood.com or call 877 KIRKWOOD.
Expedition: Kirkwood plans on taking advantage of the great snow conditions and sunny skies for this weekend's Rossignol Women's Ski Clinic and Burton Women's Snowboard Clinic on Saturday, Feb. 9th. These clinics offer group camaraderie, express lift line privileges and the insider’s perspective on places you never knew existed at Kirkwood. In addition, participants receive personalized instruction, lunch, video analysis and the latest gear to demo. Eight time World Master Champion and winner of the Great American Ski Chase Debbi Waldear and staff will conduct this clinic open for beginners to advance participants. The clinic is about improving on skills and learning the natural more centered way of skating. Skating techniques have been revolutionized in the past few years.
