OK, so I was a little pre-mature talking about spring skiing a month ago and right now it is worth reconsidering the last newsletters powder tips, but don't forget to look back to thoughts on spring skiing. I was talking with Mike from the Village Ski Loft a few days ago and he was lucky enough to ski the Chutes at Mt. Rose just after we received 5+ feet of snow up high.
Although we have always offered discounted tickets to our guests, our discounts are based on mid season full price.he ski areas will most likely start reducing pricing even lower. You can get on the lifts as much as one hour earlier at most areas and they will also close around 2:00. After your done skiing hit the beach or your favorite hang out and enjoy sitting on their deck overlooking Lake Tahoe.
Another thing I look forward to is many of our local restaurants offer great discounts. One of my favorites is "Soule Domain" and quite often will offer 2 for 1 special's this time of year, I proposed to my wife there. The Hacienda is a favorite locals hang out and always has some great after ski specials both in the bar and in the restaurant.
The next few months are spectacular, business people are very relaxed and have the time to tell you about the area we all love. Make sure you take the opportunity to get to know some of us, you might just make Tahoe your life style.
