For intermediate cruising, Northwest Territory's sun soaked, soft snow is perfect for any skill level to improve. Feeling adventurous? Head to The Backside for seven uninterrupted one mile runs with loads of freshly groomed powder and bumps or spend some time at Lookout Mountain for plenty of steeps, trees and incredible snow quality.
Mt. Pluto:
Known for its groomed runs, moderate pitch, variety of options, and gorgeous views of Lake Tahoe, Mt. Pluto is the perfect place for family cruising.
Terrain Parks:
Choose small, medium or large offerings from one of the top ten best Terrain parks in North America, including our 420-foot Super Pipe or Burton Progression Park, or signature features from DC, Burton and Amped 3.
Northwest Territory:
Ideal for low intermediate cruisers. This terrain receives optimal sun exposure making this soft snowed area perfect for any skill level to improve.
The Backside:
Eight uninterrupted one mile long runs and acres of tree skiing blanketed with fresh groomed powder can be found at the Backside. With loads of bumps and freshly groomed powder, The Backside is a skier/rider's paradise.
Lookout Mountain:
One of Northstar™ Resort’s best-kept secrets, this area possesses excellent views of the Martis Valley, great snow quality, plenty of trees and steep inclines for the most experienced skiers and riders.
Cross Country Ski & Snowshoe Center:
You can track, skate-ski or snowshoe on over 50 kilometers of carefully groomed scenic trails with state-of-the-art equipment. Not to mention the beautifully serene environment you’ll encounter along the way.
