This winter, Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort’s Cross-Country, Telemark &
Snowshoe Center will expand its snowshoe event offering by introducing
a snowshoe social and running race series designed not only as training
and competition for elite runners, but as an outdoor social gathering
for anyone interested in enjoying winter in the mountains on foot.
Guests of all ages, from athletes to families and friends are invited
to experience the outdoors. A celebration with awards, raffle and lunch
will follow each event. The social and races will be held December 19,
2009, January 24, 2010 (part of the Tahoe Rim Tour), and will culminate
with the February 27, 2010 event benefitting the Truckee-Tahoe
Community Foundation’s Queen of Hearts. Interested participants can
sign up for the series or for individual events.
