Oct 1-4: Lodge to Lodge Kayak Get Away along Lake Tahoe's Water Trail - All Day

Oct 3: 8th Annual Village Oktoberfest, Village at Squaw Valley - 2pm-6pm
Traditional Bavarian music and folk dancers, Benefit Beer Garten, brats & kraut & games. While watching the free entertainment, visitors can enjoy a variety of German beers including Spaten Premium lager, Spaten Oktoberfest, Radeberger Pilsner and Franziskaner. The first glass of beer is $10, which includes a 1/2-liter festival stein and one beer. Additional beer tickets are $5. All proceeds benefit the Tahoe Truckee Lacrosse Association.

Oct 3: 6th Annual Wine, Walk, & Shop - Downtown Truckee - Noon—4pm

Oct 4: Downhill Mountain Bike Race, Northstar-at-Tahoe - Noon—5pm
Northstar Resort’s downhill terrain offers the perfect venue for this tooth rattling, downhill challenge. Over 20 divisions for men, women and juniors, beginner through open class. Top three in each division receive awards. Cash prize to men’s and women’s open classes and Northstar Resort mountain bike tickets will be raffled off at each event.
