The Back Country, now called Tahoe City Bikes, is a full service bike sales and rental shop. We carry all the top brands of backcountry gear for Cycling, Backcountry Skiing, Snowshoeing, Climbing, and Backpacking. Our goal is to be your favorite store!

Bike Rentals

Ride the paths and trails of Lake Tahoe right from our stores! Plenty of parking and free trail maps! We offer the largest selection of modern rental equipment in the area and we guarantee the lowest price relative to quality. We use new models every year from leading brands, and we'll fit you to the right bike. Don't like the seat? Please speak up, we aim to please. Consider bringing your own helmet, pedals, seat, etc...

Summer Bicycle Rental Rates are for day use, open to close. Rates for Full Day are not for a 24 hour period.
